Hannah was talking to me as I was working in the kitchen one evening.  She was talking about Marie learning to crawl (I think she asked how Marie learned to crawl).  I told her that Jesus had helped Marie learn to crawl, and asked her if she remembered how we, and Hannah specifically, used to pray asking Jesus to help Marie learn to crawl.  (Hannah used to pray that in the couple weeks before Marie learned to crawl.)

Hannah remembered.

Then, Hannah suggested we should pray and ask Jesus to help Marie learn to obey Mommy and Daddy.

I told Hannah that we should pray asking Jesus to help Paul and Hannah learn to obey Mommy and Daddy.

In an instant, before I even realized what was happening, right there in the kitchen Hannah had her forehead wrinkled up and (I believe) her eyes shut, and she was praying one of her heartfelt, honest-as-can-be prayers (if you ever get a chance to hear Hannah pray, it’s worth listening to.  She puts her whole heart, mind, and soul into it.), asking Jesus to help her and Paul learn to obey Mommy and Daddy.

Now that does this mommy’s heart a lot of good!
