About 2 1/2 weeks ago, we had the privilege of having Susannah and Miriam come to visit us for an afternoon and evening. We were having Grandma out for supper, and I invited Miriam to come up and visit with Grandma too while Grandma was here, if that would be easier for Miriam than a visit at the Home. We had a terrific time! Paul and Hannah were beside themselves with excitement. Every moment that Susannah was awake, they were not more than an inch away from her if at all possible. When she was napping, they were using her equipment and pretending with their dolls and bears.
Paul has a doll in Susannah’s car seat.
Now, Hannah has put John-Bear down
for a nap in Susannah’s car seat. She
walked around whispering to us to be
quiet because John-Bear was sleeping.
Of course, Susannah was napping and
we had instructed her and Paul to be
quiet, so this was just fine!
Susannah finally woke up from her nap and Paul
and Hannah were by her side in a flash.
They couldn’t hug and kiss her enough. Poor
Susannah probably didn’t know what was going
on!
She was a happy, chattering little girl to
have in our home.
Susannah was a real champ for her
Uncle Andrew (but she tended to cry
when I held her. Hmmmm….).
More hugging sessions.
Hannah loved holding her and got to
hold her more than once. Paul held
her once briefly, but then he was done.
He preferred to hug, kiss, and “pet” her
while someone else did the holding.
After supper we sat out on the back porch and watched
Paul and Hannah have a blast. One of the things
they did was ride the tractor.
That was our fantastic visit with Susannah and Miriam. We are looking forward to the next time!
